ALL spots are 30-second, and must meet FCC standards for underwriting language: no prices, no calls to action, no comparative language, no political campaign promotion Standard Underwriting • Length must be at least 4 weeks, or can run indefinitely. • You choose the program, we acknowledge your support. • Script changes can be made as needed, but require 2-3 days to implement. Rates $20/ announcement to support our most popular shows (Drive Times): - NPR: Morning Edition (Monday-Friday 6-8AM) - NPR: Weekend Edition (Saturday and Sunday 6-9AM) - NPR: All Things Considered (Monday-Friday 4-6PM) -NPR: Weekend All Things Considered (Saturday-Sunday 5-6PM) -The BIG ROCK (Monday-Thursday 12-1PM) -Cool Jazz Weekly (Friday 12-1PM) -CPR: Colorado Matters (Monday-Thursday 1-2PM) -PRI: Science Friday (Friday 1-2pm) $15/ announcement to support music and regional shows, such as: - Monday Mix-Up -Colorado Playlist -Full Moon Hacksaw Jazz - Latin Mix-Up -All Around the Map/Audionaut Adventures/Afternoon Mix -Nuestra Musica -Indigenous in Music - Retro Rewind/Vintage Vibes/Blues Time -Stuck in the Psychedelic Era -La Buena Onda - World Music Show -Flower Power Hour -Friends of the Blues -Radio Free Blues - Feel Good Friday (Jazz, Soul, Blues) -Hollywood Show - Backtracking - Ballads & Bluegrass -High Country Celtic -Woodsongs -Rockin in the Days of Confusion -Modern Jet Set -Reggae Cruise - Saturday Night Free Form - Sunday Classics -Global Village - Blues with a Feeling - Final Chapter Jazz Discounts (Discounts only apply to Standard Underwriting not Day Sponsors and Event of the Week) -Renewing Underwriters get a negotiated discount for contracts over $1,000 -Small Business Music Show Packages (20 employees or less) *Music Show Package = $350 for 3 Music Show spots per week for one year. *NPR Show Package = $1,000 for 2 NPR Show spots per week for one year. Day Sponsorships $80 for 8 announcements per day. One announcement during Morning Edition (6-8am), one during All Things Considered (4-6pm), and the remaining six announcements are scheduled throughout the day. Day Sponsorships are limited to thirty seconds and must be in compliance with KRZA and FCC Guidelines. If more than 4 weeks need to be purchased, underwriting for a Day Sponsorship will no longer apply and will fall into the category of Standard Underwriting. Day Sponsors cannot be purchased by multiple organizations therefore if a day(s) is not available, Standard Underwriting will need to be purchased. Event of the Week $300/ 8 announcements per day for five days. One announcement during Morning Edition (6-8am), one during All Things Considered (4-6pm), and the remaining six announcements are scheduled throughout the day for 5 consecutive days. Event of the Week spots cannot be split up. They must be 5 days in a row from the time you schedule them. Events of the Week are limited to thirty seconds and must be in compliance with KRZA and FCC Guidelines. If more than 4 weeks need to be purchased, underwriting for an Event of the Week will no longer apply and will fall into the category of Standard Underwriting. Event of the Week spots cannot be purchased by multiple organizations therefore if a day/week is not available, Standard Underwriting will need to be purchased. Guidelines Underwriting announcements are not commercials. Adhering to the following guidelines ensures that your announcement is both legal and well-received by the listeners of our station. KRZA’s underwriting guidelines follow regulations from the FCC and National Public Radio, as well as our mission as a community radio station serving the Upper Rio Grande region. Underwriting announcements by for-profit entities may include: -30 seconds of airtime -Name of business, organization or individual, mentioned at beginning and end of announcement -Historical information -Location, phone number or web address -Basic, value-neutral description of products or services -Non-promotional slogan May NOT include: Comparative or qualitative language (“reliable”, “friendly”, “the best”) Calls-to-action (“Call", “Stop by,” “Come out to..”, etc) Inducements to buy, sell, rent or lease Repeating of information Jingles or other promotional slogans Brand names of products other than your own, names of other businesses or corporations Political campaigns For other information, call 719-589-8844 or email [email protected] |
